About Wilson, Kehoe & Winingham

Pursuing a personal injury or wrongful death claim is a serious matter. Without proper representation you may not be adequately compensated for your loss and/or injury.

Wilson Kehoe & Winingham deals exclusively in personal injury and wrongful death cases. In doing so, we know what it takes to get results.

At Wilson Kehoe & Winingham there is no charge for an initial consultation or case review. We will review your case and do our best to help you.

To help you in pursuit of your claim, we have compiled the set of documents below to help you better understand what is involved in the typical personal injury or wrongful death case.

DEFINITIONS: The following instructions are commonly given to juries in personal injury cases to aid them in their decisions. Click on the highlighted text to view the applicable instruction.

CHECKLIST: The following document is given to all of our clients. It contains important information you need to know to protect your rights

INTERROGATORIES AND REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION: Under the law in most jurisdictions, the person you sue (the defendant) has the right to send you (the plaintiff) written questions (called interrogatories)and written requests that you produce documents and things for inspection (called requests for production).

You must answer the interrogatories under oath and under penalties for perjury and must fully comply with the requests for production unless we can raise a valid objection. Many of the items deal with facts and issues that ultimately will not be admissible at trial, but the defendant can still force you to respond to them at the pre-trial stage. We can object later so that the inadmissible matters never get before a jury.

Once these requests are received, you typically are required to provide written answers and to produce documents within 30 days. Since the amount of information and documents requested usually requires more time to answer, you may want to review the sample interrogatories and requests for production below and attempt to draft answers and locate the documents requested.

As you read these, you will discover that we can answer some of the questions better than you can and that we already have some or all of the documents requested in a request for production. If so, answer what you can and gather what you have, and we will work together to put your materials with ours to provide the answers and documents we need to send to the defendant's lawyer.
